Realme has announced the arrival of their latest smartphones, the Realme GT 6 and the Realme GT 6T. Having been revealed on the global stage in Dubai, the Chinese marque has also confirmed that it will be heading to Malaysia from today onwards too.

Realme GT 6 series Malaysia pricing and availability

The Realme GT 6 and Realme GT 6T are now available for purchase in Malaysia, with the former coming in two configurations and the latter in just one:

  • Realme GT 6, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage – RM2,899
  • Realme GT 6, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM2,599
  • Realme GT 6T, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM2,399

That being said, you will be able to get the Realme GT 6T at under RM2,000, as they are having a first sales promotion from today until 27 June with the Realme GT 6T priced at just RM1,999. If you’re keen, you can find the discounted Realme GT 6T over on the official Realme store on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to get your hands on the Realme GT 6 instead, then from now until 31 July you can get it with free gifts worth RM797 over on the aforementioned platforms as well as all Realme Brand stores and authorised dealers nationwide. The free gifts include a TechLife A1 smartwatch, a one year screen damage warranty and a 30 days 1-to-1 replacement guarantee.

Realme GT 6 series specs

At first glance, both the Realme GT 6 and the Realme GT 6T certainly seem like one and the same. They both have basically identical 6.78-inch AMOLED displays pushing a 2780 x1264p resolution for a pixel density of 450PPI. However, its star feature here is that Realme claims it’s the world’s brightest smartphone display, with the Realme GT 6 series capable of up to 6,000nits of peak brightness, though realistically you’ll be getting a more regular 1,000nits of standard brightness and 1,600nits in HDR mode. The display also covers the DCI-P3 colour gamut, has up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is present for scratch resistance too.

Under the hood though is the first major difference between the two. The Realme GT 6 will come with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 while the Realme GT 6T gets a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 powering it. Both of these processors are built on the TSMC 4nm process node, and actually have identical core layouts, it’s just that the latter is clocked slightly lower. The Realme GT 6 also comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, while the GT 6T gets mated to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with both devices coming with Android 14 out of the box skinned with RealmeUI 5.0 over it.

As for cameras, the Realme GT 6 has a main 50MP, f/1.69 camera using the 1/1.4″ Sony LYT-808 image sensor, flanked by another 50MP, f/2.0 telephoto using the Samsung S5KJN5 image sensor offering 2x and 4x zoom options. The Realme GT 6T on the other hand has a main 50MP, f/1.88 shooter with a Sony LYT-600 image sensor, and loses out on the telephoto altogether. Both devices also come with an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide and a 32MP, f/2.45 front facing camera.

Other features of note include a 5,500mAh battery on both devices with support for 120W fast charging that is able to get it back to 50% in just 10 minutes. You’ll also find Realme’s own NEXT AI suite of tools on the Realme GT 6 series as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers and support for NFC, 5G, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.
