Xiaomi has launched its new Pad 7 series tablets for the global market alongside the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro are now available for order in Malaysia and both appears to be very good value for money contenders especially with its current launch promo.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro are available as WiFi-only with two storage options. Here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:

Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro Malaysia Specs and Features

Both the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro are essentially the same tablet which shares the identical 6.18mm thickness and both weigh 500g. The main differences are the processor, camera and USB-C fast charging speeds.
Upfront, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series feature a 11.2″ 3.2K 144Hz IPS display that pushes a resolution of 3200×2136 pixels in an 3:2 aspect ratio. The display boasts vivid HDR with a peak brightness of 800nits. It also gets a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and it boasts 200% volume boost.

The base Xiaomi Pad 7 runs on a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip while the Pro version gets a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Both tablets are using LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, however it is mentioned that the 128GB storage variant is using UFS 3.1 instead.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi Pad 7 gets a 13MP main camera for the rear, while the front comes with an 8MP selfie shooter. However, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is equipped with a higher resolution 50MP rear camera and a 32MP selfie shooter.
Connectivity wise, the Pad 7 supports WiFi 6E, while the Pad 7 Pro supports the newer and faster WiFi 7 standards. Both tablets come with a USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 1) that can support transfers up to 5Gbps and there’s also a hidden IR blaster.
For a PC-like experience, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series supports Workstation mode which allows multiple apps to run as floating windows. There’s also Xiaomi HyperConnect which enables a seamless cross-device experience including the ability to use your smartphone as the video call camera.


Keeping the lights on, both Xiaomi Pad 7 series tablets are equipped with a 8,850mAh battery. The standard version can support 45W of fast charging which takes 103 minutes for a full charge, while the Pro version boasts 67W HyperCharge that can do 100% charge in just 79 minutes.
