Asus has launched the latest iterations of the Asus Vivobook S14 and Vivobook S16 here in Malaysia. Priced from RM3,199, the Vivobook S14 and S16 are offered with two chipset options, namely the Intel Core i5 and the Intel Core Ultra 7.
The company also mentioned that a Snapdragon X-powered Copilot+ PC variant of the Asus Vivobook S14 and S16 will be made available in July 2025.
Asus Vivobook S14 & S16 Malaysia: Pricing and availability
Variants of the Vivobook S14 and S16 offered in Malaysia and their pricing are as follows:
- Vivobook S14 (Intel Core i5) – RM3,199
- Asus Vivobook S14 (Intel Core Ultra 7) – RM4,099
- Asus Vivobook S16 (Intel Core i5) – RM3,199

The Core i5 variant of the Vivobook S14 and S16 is available in two shades, namely Matte Grey and Cool Silver, while the Core Ultra 7-powered Vivobook S14 is offered solely in Cool Silver.
Starting from today, the 19th of May 2025, you can purchase these laptops via all authorised Asus resellers nationwide.
Asus Vivobook S14 & S16 Malaysia: Specs and features

Aside from their different chipsets and screen sizes, the Asus Vivobook S14 and S16 share quite a number of similarities. For starters, these laptops measure just 15.9mm thick at their thinnest points, and weigh 1.39kg.
Open up the Asus Vivobook S14, you will be looking at a 14″ Full HD+ (1920×1200) IPS LCD laid out in a 16:10 aspect ratio. This panel sports a 60Hz aspect ratio and has a peak brightness of 300 nits. Screen-to-body ratio is rated at 87%.

The Vivobook S16’s display is essentially larger at 16″ and has a higher refresh rate of 144Hz, along with an 89% screen-to-body ratio. Resolution, aspect ratio, and peak brightness are all similar to the Vivobook S14.
With the Core i5 variant of the Vivobook S14 and S16, you get the Intel Core i5-13420H chipset. This is paired with 16GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, which consists of 8GB of onboard RAM and 8GB of SO-DIMM RAM.
As for the Core Ultra 7-powered Vivobook S14, you get the Intel Core Ultra 7-255H chip with 16GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. This consists of 16GB of on-board RAM, while the SO-DIMM slot is left vacant for you to conduct future upgrades. As for storage, all of these laptops come equipped with 1TB of M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD.

In terms of I/O ports, you get all of these as standard:
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (data speed up to 5Gbps)
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with support for display/power delivery
- 1 x HDMI 1.4
- 1 x 3.5mm combo audio jack
Connectivity-wise, the Asus Vivobook S14 and S16 are fitted with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Keeping the lights on is the same 70Wh battery, which can be charged at 65W via USB-C.

The Asus Vivobook S14 and S16 run on Microsoft’s Windows 11 Home. In Malaysia, these PCs come with Microsoft Home & Student 2024 included, along with a 1-year subscription of Microsoft 365 Basic and 100GB screw cloud storage.
For video and conference calls, you can utilise the 1080p FHD IR camera, which supports Windows Hello. A physical privacy shutter is also included.
