The possibility of s owners experiencing charging anxiety when they visit Teluk Intan should be much lower now. This is because the coastal town has just received its first EV charging hub.
Located at Tai Chong Seafood, which is just 5 minutes away from the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan, the hub features a Charge+ 60kW DC charger with 2 nozzles. A few more meters in front of the DC charger is a solo 22kW AC charger powered by Powerbee which we originally highlighted back in February.

As for the charging fee, it costs RM1.25 per kWh to utilise the Charge+ DC charger at the new EV charging hub at Tai Chong Seafood.
On the other hand, charging your EV using the Powerbee AC charger costs just 82 sen per kWh. However, the AC charger has an idle fee of RM1 for every 5 minutes, which kicks in after a grace period of 30 minutes.
Free DC charging today, half price from tomorrow onwards
To celebrate the official opening of Tai Chong Seafood’s EV charging hub which took place earlier today, Charge+ has decided to provide DC charging for free at the hub until 11:59 PM tonight. While the free charging period might be quite short, the CPO will be offering a 50% discount on the charging fee from tomorrow, 25 May until 26 June 2025.
The Charge+ DC charger at Tai Chong Seafood can be activated using the CPO’s Android and iOS app. Likewise, the Powerbee AC charger also relies on a mobile app for activation, which can be downloaded from the Google Play and iOS App Store.
