Huawei has debuted the 2025 iteration of the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″ tablet here in Malaysia. You can drop a pre-order for it now and enjoy free gifts along with a RM200 rebate.

No official pricing has been announced just yet for the Malaysian spec Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″ 2025. But between today (9th June, 2025) and 18th June at 4PM, you can pre-order the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″ 2025 by dropping a RM50 deposit. After that you will be given a time window until the 31st July to make payment for the tablet’s remaining cost, and receive it starting 28th June.
By pre-ordering the 2025 MatePad Pro 12.2″, you will receive a RM200 rebate and freebies worth up to RM2,045, which includes:

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″ 2025 Malaysia: Specs and new features
So what’s new with the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″ 2025? For starters, there’s this new Green colourway. Aside from that, the tablet comes with a fingerprint scanner and supports WiFi 7 connectivity too.
Also new here is its 50MP f/1.8 main camera at the back that’s paired with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle shooter. At the front, you get an 8MP f/2.0 camera for video calls and whatnot.
Software-wise, Huawei has given the MatePad Pro 12.2″ 2025 new features in the Huawei Notes and Go Paint apps. With Huawei Notes, you now get a new AI Handwriting Enhancement feature that can help fix and enhance your handwriting. There are also new brushes such as the 2B Pencil, Felt-tip Pen, and Calligraphy Brush. Over at the Content Store, there are more than 130 covers, 60 templates, and 400 stickers for you to choose from too.
As for the Go Paint illustration software that comes free with the MatePad Pro 12.2″, it now comes with the new 3D Oil Painting Brush, as well as the Frame Animation feature which allows you to easily create your own frame by frame animation and export them either as an MP4, GIF, or even a PSD file to work on Adobe’s Photoshop.
There’s also the Live Multitask feature that allows you to lineup up to three applications at once. For example, you can browse the web while working on your work report, and then switch the former to your Zoom call at any time and vice versa.
The remaining specs that’s been retained from the 2024 model includes the 12.2″ 2.8K (2800×1840) Tandem OLED PaparMatte display. This panel is laid out in a 3:2 aspect ratio and sports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, along with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.
Powered by Huawei’s Kirin T92A chipset, the MatePad 12.2″ 2025 in Malaysia is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It’s also got a 10,100mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C at 100W, allowing it to be juiced up from flat to full in 55 minutes.
You get a set of four speakers, and the MatePad Pro 12.2″ 2025 runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.3, with a promise of receiving up to two years of OS and security updates.
