If you own a Tesla in Malaysia, you’re in luck. It appears that several Tesla Supercharger locations in Malaysia have gotten a surprising price reduction and you can juice up your Tesla quickly for as little as 93 sen per kWh.
It isn’t clear if this is a time-limited promo or a price glitch, but we’ve seen reports of some users getting billed at the lower 93 sen per kWh rate for their Supercharging session. That’s cheaper than most public AC charging facilities deployed by other charge point operators.
At the moment, most of Tesla Superchargers are located around the Klang Valley but take note that not every location has the new reduced pricing. Several Tesla Supercharger locations with the 93 sen per kWh pricing include The Gardens Mall, IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, IOI Mall in Puchong, Pavilion KL, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Sunway Pyramid and Tesla Service Centre in Putrajaya.
The Supercharger prices remain unchanged in several locations such as I-City Finance Avenue in Shah Alam and Gamuda Cove in Dengkil. The current pricing details, availability and busy times history can be viewed from the Tesla app.

Some other Tesla Supercharger locations with the lower 93 sen per kWh were also spotted outside the Klang Valley. This includes Sunway Bigbox at Iskandar Puteri in Johor and Gurney Plaza in Georgetown Penang.
Other Supercharger locations such as Skudai R&R, Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan and Sunway Carnival Mall in Seberang Jaya, are still showing RM1.19 per kWh.

Take note that Tesla EV chargers are still exclusive to Tesla vehicles only and they can simply plug in the nozzle to initiate charging automatically. These chargers currently do not work with non-Tesla vehicles in Malaysia.
To prevent charging bay hogging, Tesla also imposes idle fees of up to RM4.00 per minute if you do not unplug the charging nozzle after charging is completed.
At the time of writing, we still not sure how long this 93 sen per kWh pricing will last and you can check the latest rates on the Tesla app.
