The Zeekr 7X officially makes in debut in Malaysia and the public can get an early preview at Malaysia Autoshow 2025. This is the brand’s premium 5-seater SUV and the pricing is much lower than expected given its premium offering. In fact, the Zeekr 7X undercuts many sub-RM200,000 electric SUVs in Malaysia including the Tesla Model Y, Xpeng G6 and the BYD Sealion 7.
Zeekr’s first 800V EV offering in Malaysia
The Zeekr 7X is built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform and it boasts a long 2,925mm wheelbase for a spacious interior, exceptional handling, enhanced NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) control and a more refined ride. What stands out is that the the Zeekr 7X is the brand’s first EV offering in Malaysia to feature an advanced 800V architecture which boasts faster DC fast charging capabilities.
For those who seek performance, the range topping Zeekr 7X AWD Performance boasts 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds, while customers who prioritise range can consider the RWD Long Range option that boasts a WLTP-rated range of 600km on a single charge. The Zeekr 7X also features air suspension for a more enhanced ride quality which adapts to various road conditions.
Indicative Zeekr 7X pricing in Malaysia
The Zeekr 7X will be offered in three variants and below is the indicative pricing:
- Zeekr 7X RWD Standard – RM182,000
- Zeekr 7X RWD Long Range – RM195,000
- Zeekr 7X AWD Performance – RM230,000
According to Zeekr Malaysia, these indicative prices are exclusive to the first 500 customers only. The Zeekr 7X is expected to launch sometime in Q3 2025.
The full specs and equipment levels will be announced closer to launch.
During the event at Malaysia Autoshow 2025, Zeekr Managing Director for Southeast Asia, Alex Bao, said, “We’ve previously showcased the Zeekr 7X in Singapore and Thailand, where the response was overwhelmingly positive. This marks our first appearance at the Malaysia Autoshow, and we are truly excited to present our latest innovation here.”
He added, “The Zeekr 7X is the next premium luxury SUV from Zeekr, set to redefine the luxury electric SUV segment with its refined design, advanced technology, and uncompromising focus on comfort and performance.”
The Zeekr 7X is a D-segment 5-seater SUV measuring 4,825mm long, 1930mm wide and 1,666 tall. The RWD models has a single motor pushes 310kW (416hp) of power and 440Nm of torque. The base single motor variants can do 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds. Equipped with a “Golden” 800V LFP battery, it can support DC fast charging that does 10-80% in 10.5 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Long Range RWD and Performance AWD models feature a larger 100kWh 800V NMC battery. It can do DC fast charging from 10-80% in 15 minutes.
The Performance AWD variant gets a dual-motor setup that produces 475kW (637hp) and 710Nm of torque and air suspension. 0-100km/h takes just 3.8 seconds.
