Suunto Run Malaysia: Specs and features

Featuring a case made out of Glass fibre reinforced polyamide, the Suunto Run weighs just 36g, making it the brand’s lightest watch. In addition to being water resistant at up to 50m, the watch also comes with a rotary crown, allowing you to use it to navigate around the watch’s interface.
At the face of the Suunto Run is a 1.32″ 466×466 AMOLED display that comes with auto brightness. For activity tracking, the Suunto Run can track metrics such as steps, calories, sleep, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), and even comes with a breathing app. It also provides recovery analysis, along with 34 sport modes, including walking, running, hiking, cycling, and so on.

The Suunto Run app that’s included with the Suunto Run as standard can track training load, monitor post-exercise heart rate, measure Training Stress Score (TSS), and comes with breadcrumb GNSS navigation for route tracking. If you prefer to track your activities using third-party apps, you will also be glad to know that the Suunto Run supports apps such as Strava, TrainingPeaks, and Runkeeper.
For better accuracy during outdoor activity tracking, the Suunto Run supports global navigation satellite systems such as GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS. The Suunto Run also comes with a compass.

As for its smartwatch features, the Suunto Run can show notifications from your phone, including incoming calls, messages, and if you pair it with an Android phone, you can also reply to incoming messages straight from the watch. Other features, such as weather forecasts, alarms, and breathing exercises, are included too. The watch also comes with 4GB of storage for you to store your music, and of course, you can use the Suunto Run to control your phone’s music player.
Now, battery life. Under what Suunto calls “Smartwatch Mode”, the Suunto Run can last up to 12 days. This is with daily activity tracking, daily heart rate tracking, and the raise-to-wake display feature turned on.
If you want to stretch its battery life to 20 days, you will have to switch the watch to Standby Time Mode. When training with the Suunto Run, here’s how long Suunto reckons the watch can last under these use cases:
