Nintendo Switch 2 will be making its official debut in Malaysia on 3 July. You can pre-order the console through many game stores and toy retailers, including Impulse Gaming, which is one of the country’s more well-known game retailers.
Interestingly enough, Impulse Gaming is now offering the new console at a much lower price than the official retail price for Malaysia, according to its Facebook page:
- Nintendo Switch 2 standalone set: RM2,249
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle: RM2,449
However, this price is only valid for purchase through Impulse Gaming’s online store and physical retail branches. While the Switch 2 is available for pre-order on Impulse Gaming Shopee store, the price listed over there still follows the official retail price.
As a comparison, here are the official prices for Nintendo Switch 2 as listed by the Nintendo Official Store Malaysia on Shopee and Lazada:
- Nintendo Switch 2 standalone set: RM2,488 – Shopee / Lazada
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle: RM2,688 – Shopee / Lazada
The Nintendo Official Store Malaysia is operated by Nintendo’s official distributor for Malaysia, Convergent Distribution. The company has also previously confirmed to SoyaCincau.com that these are indeed the official retail price of the console in our market – in case you need extra assurance with the price tag.
When you compare the two sets of pricing, Impulse Gaming’s essentially is RM239 less than the official retail price, which is equivalent to around a 10% discount. Despite the lower asking price, it still makes the Switch 2 more expensive than a Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, but at the very least, you get to save some money if you decide to get your unit from Impulse Gaming.
